We are passionate about our, our services and our community, so it is invaluable to us to stay in touch with you. The nature of our business makes it necessary to collect and use personal identifiable information (PII). Some of that information is sensitive in nature. We treat the personal information you provide to us with respect and enormous care. We will use your information to keep in touch, providing you with services tailoured to your needs and to improve our services for your benefit. We will hold your data in a secure environment. When your data no longer has a purpose, we will destroy it or anonymise it, so that no person may be identified within the data.
We believe you should have control over your personal data and full transparency over how we use it. We have updated our Privacy Policy to give you more information about what we collect, why we collect it, how we store and how we use your personal information.
The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
As well as the Privacy Act 1988 and Western Australia’s Freedom of information Act 1992 we have taken the decision to adopt the rights and principles of the European Unions General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as the global leading standard for ethical use of data.
We have also included a whole section to explain your rights under the GDPR (see Your rights and how to exercise them). You can enforce these rights with ANSON where we hold your personal information, so we hope you’ll find them useful.

We may process your personal information for our legitimate business interests.
We may process your personal information for carefully considered and specific purposes which are in our legitimate interests and enable us to enhance the products and services we provide, but also which we believe benefit our customers. The two main legitimate interests are:

In this case, it is necessary for us to use your information so that we can deliver the products or services you have chosen or to deal with queries and complaints.
- In certain cases, we may use your information where necessary to further our legitimate interests, where those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights. Some example are to: prevent fraud, manage access to our services, enhance and improve our services, manage privacy preferences (which may include your suppression from communications) and deliver direct marketing and determining the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and advertising.
